Vizcaya Park Update January 2, 2012

Here's the main building. You can see the workers.

Happy New Year! It's been a while since I've posted any updates. I did go to the park a few times since the last entry, but each time it seemed like nothing was different. However, that was around two months ago.

Enormous field with grass on it and some walkways.

I have noticed a bunch of construction traffic and dump trucks and heavy machinery since the end of October. That and a prod from Karen this morning was all it took to snap a few shots for you.

Some new structures going up.

What's new? Well, the main clubhouse is much more advanced, and there were workers painting or doing something to it while I was there a few minutes ago. There is an enormous field covered in green grass where only a rocky desert existed before. There are palm trees planted along the walkway and throughout. And there are a few other structures, some kind of pavilions. The gates were open and it was an active site.

Hopefully they zoom through this and get the park ready for use. I personally can't wait!

Panoramic. LOL.

You got it, Joe. If I thought people were reading, I wouldn't have quit those few months. I might be able to scrape together a few from the missing months and back post them.
