Vizcaya Park Update August 2, 2011

Tonight the Vizcaya Communities (which is really called Bluegrass Lakes for all you hardcore residents) had a little party down by the park entrance for National Night Out. The party was to start at 6pm and end at 9pm, but around 5:30, a tornado warning was issued for somewhere in northern Broward. And it started to rain pretty steadily. Oh, and don't forget Tropical Storm Emily is on her way, too!

Anyway, a little after 6, the rain stopped and the sun sort of came out, so I walked over with my wife and youngest son. Hot dogs, water, popcorn, chips, cotton candy, and a bounce house--standard fare. One of Miramar's Commissioners showed up too and was shaking hands and chatting with the people. Oh yeah, 1000% humidity and I was sweating like a pig, so we left after 45 minutes or so. Still nice.

So yeah, I did take a few pictures of the park. You didn't expect less from me, did you? I'm not sure I see any difference from a week ago, but that doesn't mean work didn't get done. Here are two pictures of what one guy that seemed to have some knowledge was calling the clubhouse. The third picture shows something that is definitely new--someone crashed into the fence! I don't know any details, just making the obvious observation. Later.
